Jun 23 5th Anniversary in Croatia

5 Years of marriage have flown by! In 5 years we have lived in College Park, MD (2 years), Columbus, MS (18 months), Little Rock, AR (6 months) and now Bosenbach, Germany! Together we have adopted a pup, bought and sold a yoga studio, learned to fly planes and teach yoga, made new friends and said goodbye to others, seen friends and family get married and been on countless trips. For our anniversary this year we decided instead of TRAVELING, we would take a VACATION. If you don't know the difference, one requires travel books, being constantly on the move, checking things off lists, well known sights and monuments, tennis shoes and falling into bed exhausted each night. The other involves leisure reading, being still, having no lists and no "must-sees", flip flops and falling into bed relaxed each night. We have done a lot of traveling since being in Europe, but this... this was a vacation. Can you say "Ahhhhhh" with me?

Since this was a vacation, and not a "trip", I will keep this post to the highlights and allow the pictures to speak for themselves:

We flew into split and boarded a ferry to the Island of Hvar. Commonly known for its all night parties and frequented by "European Youth" (apparently this is no longer us btw)- however we chose to rent a car and drive across the island to the tiny cove of Jelsa where we posted up for the week. It was quiet, quaint, warm and beautiful. All we could have possibly wanted.

Throughout the week we wine tasted, swam in the crystal clear Adriatic Ocean, ate delicious food including a few "Ceci shmorgishborgs" and our body weight in ice cream, enjoyed a boat tour, laid on the beach and by the pool, and on our last night we stayed back in the city of Split, taking in the bustling nightlife.
